AUDIO & MUSIC

Audio and music is at the core of what we care about at Superbrothers A/V. Aspiring to Lynch x Bandalamente, we’re all about wrapping an experience around music and sound, and then letting them stew together to become something that can profoundly resonate with people. Getting that to sit on top of solid videogame mechanics and story can be tricky, but if you get that right and you’ll have a little miracle on your hands.

On the music side Superbrothers A/V has worked closely with Jim Guthrie and scntfc (aka C Andrew Rohrmann) over the years, resulting in soundtracks for sworcery and JETT respectively. We worked with Jim Guthrie plus Sean Lohrisch at Capy for #sworcery audio, and with scntfc plus A Shell in the Pit and Priscilla Snow on JETT audio, with Priscilla also contributing sacred harp choral music and an intricately constructed invented language. JETT also includes FEZ song by Disasterpeace and Solar Fields.

Jim Guthrie and Superbrothers go back before #sworcery to the mid-2000s, you can trace the old skool discography below. Fun fact: The band Sylvan Esso named themselves after the lil’ Sylvan Sprites that appear in #sworccery. They aren’t represented below but they’re great, check’em out.
